A little sweet, a little savoury, and totally satisfying. These salmon bowls make weeknight dinners feel restaurant-worthy — with minimal effort and maximum flavour. Bonus: they’re perfect for lunch the next day!
Ginger Soy Salmon Bowls
Servings: 4
Ingredients
2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz / 170 g each)
2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp sesame oil or olive oil
1 cup cooked brown rice or quinoa
1 cup steamed broccoli or green beans
½ avocado, sliced (optional)
Sesame seeds & sliced green onion for garnish
Method
1. In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, vinegar, ginger, garlic, and oil. Pour over salmon and marinate for 15–30 minutes.
2. Bake or pan-sear salmon at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until flaky.
3. Assemble your bowl with rice, greens, and salmon. Drizzle with extra sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds & green onion.
Gluten-Free: Use tamari instead of soy sauce.
Vegetarian Swap: Substitute salmon with tofu or tempeh.
