Dena- Rambler Profile

Dena- Rambler Profile

Born in Calgary, Alberta, Dena now calls Vancouver, British Columbia, home, where she has built a life centered on kindness, music, and helping young children learn and grow. At 51, she's discovered that confidence comes with experience and that life's greatest joys are often the simplest ones.

Best part about being 51
Feeling comfortable in my own skin. I trust myself more, worry less about pleasing others, and appreciate the freedom that comes with self-confidence.

Biggest life lesson
Learning that saying no and setting healthy boundaries isn't selfish—it's necessary.

Advice to my younger self
Be kinder to yourself. Don't fear failure, be patient, and remember that your worth isn't defined by other people's opinions.

What's changed in this stage of life?
Menopause has brought challenges like brain fog, memory lapses, mood changes, and hair loss, but it's also taught me to give myself more grace.

What makes life meaningful?
Time with family and friends, teaching children, making music, enjoying nature, and sharing simple everyday moments.

Five words that describe me
Kind. Patient. Musical. Introverted. Sentimental.
