The Bros. Landreth in Toronto- Nomi's Pics

Naomi Weisman is a Canadian-Australian and mother of three who loves to Ramble with her dog, cook for family and friends, and laugh whenever possible.

The other night, I headed out with a friend to see The Bros. Landreth, and—honestly—it was one of those evenings that just filled my cup in all the right ways. I first stumbled on them years ago while listening to the CBC in my car. Because it’s public radio, the CBC is required to play a certain percentage of Canadian content… which means I often “discover” incredible homegrown talent completely by accident. That’s how the Landreth brothers first landed in my ears—and from that moment on, they’ve been fixtures on my Spotify playlists.

Their music is pure soul: warm harmonies, slide-guitar wistfulness, and lyrics that feel like they’re about love, family, and being human in all the messy, beautiful ways. Seeing that sound come to life on stage was something else entirely.

The venue made the night, too. The TD Music Hall, tucked right into Massey Hall, is intimate in the best possible way—standing room only, cozy as anything, and full of that electric hum that only a small room with big talent can hold. There’s something special about being able to move, dance, and drift through the crowd, all while feeling just a breath away from the musicians themselves.

It was one of those evenings that reminded me why I love live music so much: the connection, the joy, and the sense of being part of something shared—even if just for a night. And maybe it was the company, or the dim glow of the stage lights, or just the right song at the right moment—but I left feeling lighter than when I’d arrived.

Nights like this have a way of grounding me, reminding me to make space for joy, movement, and those unexpected moments of connection. The Bros. Landreth gave us all of that and more, and I’m already keeping an eye out for the next time they roll through town.

Here's a Playlist just for you!

Enjoy!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Nomi's Verdict: This show was soulful, heartfelt, and exactly the kind of night out that reminds me why I keep saying “yes” to live music. Absolutely worth it.
