It’s been a few months since I’ve heard something new and exciting in the music world.
Jaten Collin Dimsdale, also known as Teddy Swims, is a singer-songwriter who debuted his first single in 2020. I guess that makes me late to the party because I’ve only just discovered him in January 2024!
What I love about his musical style is that he doesn’t seem to have a definitive one. His music is a unique fusion of R&B, soul, pop, and country with a rich, resonant voice. With beautiful ballads or groovy, danceable tunes, he is surprising, not least because he is covered in tattoos, piercings, and other physical embellishments that are unexpected from someone singing about desperate love.
