Catherine Chouinard is an intrepid rambler, traveler, and runner who recently completed a marathon, an auto industry worker, and a mother of two grown children from Barrie, Ontario, Canada. She also dabbles in home decor and furniture flipping.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Canada's biggest city - Toronto. I loved growing up in a big urban center with so much to do and see. However, when we were ready to buy our first property, we moved north to a smaller town north of the city because staying in Toronto wasn't financially feasible. I'm glad I'm in Barrie now. I love where I live.
What do you do with your spare time?
I love to run and recently completed a marathon. I also enjoy projects around the house, furniture flipping, and traveling.
What is your favorite music?
I'm a Classic Rock kinda gal!
What is your favorite color?
I love purple, and you will find me wearing it, choosing purple flowers and purple fashion accessories.
Where is your favorite place to ramble?
I love running around the bay in my hometown in Barrie, near water in general, or anywhere scenic. I also love HITT workouts.
What are the top 5 things on your bucket list?
I want to travel travel travel travel travel.
I am keen to hike Machu Picchu and explore more of Via Ferrata, which is a climbing area in Quebec. I also want to go to Europe (anywhere) and maybe British Columbia, Canada, Australia, and Hawaii. I also want to cruise around Cape Horn and see penguins.

Who is someone you look up to, and why?
My dad! He was intelligent, self-taught, strong, sensitive, patient, wise, and a natural leader.
What is your biggest fear?
Losing people I love.
What is the bravest thing you have done?
The bravest thing I have ever done is sitting and holding my father's hand and trying to comfort him as he took his final breaths.
What is one thing you wish you could do?
If I could do one thing, it would be to retire early so I can travel more with my partner.
Here are some other random things about me!
I love all vacations but especially beaches. My favorite subject in school was math, and I am a night owl. I have a sweet tooth and love my tea with honey. I love summer, and despite living in a freezing and snowy place, I am not a fan of winter.
