Naomi Weisman is the writer and editor of Nomi's Pics in our Rambler Cafe Blog. She is a Canadian-Australian and mother of three who loves to ramble with her dog, cook for family and friends, and laugh whenever possible.
This is my first Barbara Davis book, and I am super excited to dive into her work! The Echo of Old Books was chosen for this Book Club Challenge because of our collective love for historical fiction mixed with a touch of mystery. I selected this novel as our next read after it came highly recommended, and I can’t wait to see what all the buzz is about.
Barbara Davis is an accomplished author of mystery, history, and literary fiction. From what I understand, she effortlessly blends these genres to create captivating, emotionally resonant stories.
Raised in the South and now living in New England, Davis made a remarkable career shift after more than a decade in the jewelry industry. Leaving behind her corporate life, she pursued her passion for writing and quickly built a name for herself with novels like When Never Comes, Love, Alice, Summer at Hideaway Key, The Wishing Tide, and The Secrets She Carried.
Davis now lives in Rochester, New Hampshire, with her husband, Tom, and their beloved ginger cat, Simon. This novel is sure to captivate anyone who enjoys stories filled with mystery, history, and the enduring pull of time’s secrets.
The Echo of Old Books promises to be a perfect fit for readers who enjoy historical intrigue, layered mysteries, and a deep connection to the past. In this novel, Davis weaves together a rich narrative that reflects how the echoes of history continue to shape the present.
