Lululemon Belt Bags - Rambling Style Files

Rambling essentials from fashion to recipes to gear and everything in between. Style Files is the creation of Jill Cohen Morris, an avid rambler, mother of two from Toronto, Canada with a remarkable zest for life, a fabulous sense of humor and remarkable style (of course).

Hey, Sole Sisters!

It's time for my Rambling Style Files, where I discuss all things rambling, from fashion to recipes to gear and everything in between.

I am addicted to rambling whether I am by myself or with my husband or friends, for exercise, errands or simply clearing my head, it is my favorite pastime. I live in Toronto, Canada and most of my rambles are city walks not hikes. I ramble for hours but I don’t need to bring much with me.

Tara Romoff, a dear friend and fellow founder of Sole Sister Ramblers, gifted me with the Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag a few years ago. I absolutely love it and rarely ramble without it.

It is the perfect size for my phone, AirPods, credit card carrying case, sunglasses, travel size Purell, and travel size sunscreen. You can wear it as a belt bag or crossbody.

Lululemon has come out with a slightly bigger version. I don’t really need it but it is a good option if you are in the market and want to carry a bottle of water in your belt bag.

The price points for both are quite good. Mine is $44 (CAN) and the bigger is $52. They come in a myriad of colors .

They came out with a fleece one last winter which is really cute  … hmmm :)

What astounds me is how popular it has become … it has exploded or as my daughter says it has gone viral. Everywhere I look people are wearing it. Most stores have started to carry their own version, even my local grocery store has one for sale with their logo.

This got me thinking … with so many options out there, is the Lululemon bag worth it? I started researching and found a highly rated copy on Amazon for $14.99 so I ordered it.

I have to say you get what you pay for. It is very similar in look however the quality of fabric is not great, the strap is a little thinner, the zipper seems flimsy, overall I do not think it would stand up to the test of time.

If you are someone, like me who wears this daily I would recommend going for the Lululemon. If you are not sure you could start with the copy and see how you like it.

Would love to hear your thoughts! Do you have a favourite rambling bag?

Happy Rambling!!
